BB 11 Months

Eleven months.  It really doesn't seem possible that we've only got one of these little neckties left in our stash for photos.

At this point in time, BB is into everything.  

He's full fledged walking (usually running) everywhere.

He loves all of his toys, but his tractors are his favorite.  Which may be why the word "tractor" has been used before the word "mama."  

He enjoys pulling pots and pans out of every kitchen cabinet while I'm trying to make dinner.  

He likes eating.

He attended (and really enjoyed) his first concert.  Then he grabbed the singer's teeth.  Yea, that's still what he does to everyone he meets.

Monthly Check In

Based on my calculations at home (read: this is probably not super accurate):  21 pounds, 28.5 inches long.

Likes:  Ice cream, walking, talking to the cows, tractors, his new car seat.

Dislikes:  Running out of ice cream, being told no.

BB: Ten Months

At 10 months...

- Has 8 teeth. Four on top, four on bottom.

- is absolutely non-stop all the time.

- Loves the water.

- Has been to the lake twice and seems to really enjoy the boat so long as no one puts a life jacket on him.

- Has taken three or four steps "on his own" a couple of times.

- Enjoys sneaking into the bathroom to splash in the toilet.

- Attended his first show lamb clinic. 

- Became the proud owner of four Red Angus cows.

We didn't get weight and height stats this month...we'll try again in August!

Likes:  Cool whip, all food actually, standing up, his lion walker, the water, drinking from Dad's glass or bottle.

Dislikes:  Laying still on his back, anything touching his feet, getting too hot, wearing a life jacket. 

BB Seven, Eight and Nine Months

Well, the title of this blog post tells you how well these monthly updates have been going.  How in the world am I three months behind already??  I'm going to do an abbreviated version of these posts just to be sure I have some record of how incredibly fast this kiddo is growing!

Seven Months
Despite a rough start, the transition from his bassinet to his crib has gone swimmingly well.  He usually sleeps all night from about 9:30 - 7:00.  If he does wake up, usually all it takes is a binky and some pats on the tummy and he goes right back to sleep.  He officially has two little bottom teeth!

Weight: 18.4 pounds

Height:  27.25 inches

Likes:  Touching other people's teeth, sitting up.

Dislikes:  Someone touching his teeth, laying down.

Eight Months

At 8 months, he had finally gotten the hang of true crawling and no longer needed his army crawl method.  He had three bottom teeth and was chewing on everything in sight.  He got his first black eye (two, actually) as a result of going 110 miles an hour and not having the best balance.  He has started on puffs and, like all food, thinks they are great.

I have no stats because our scale was broken.

Likes:  Crawling everywhere, his "car," being outside, Dad's sprinkler.

Dislikes:  Hitting his head.

Nine Months

I think that every stage just gets more fun.  At 9 months, BB is into absolutely everything.  It's been amazing to watch him learn things right before our eyes.  He figured out quickly how to let go of something while standing up and fall on his butt instead of his head.  He's currently eating finger foods and doing much better about making his little fingers cooperate with his mouth. He crawls like a champ, pulls up on anything he can get his hands on, has 7, yes SEVEN, teeth, walks as long as he is holding onto something, and loves to eat anything we will give him.

Weight:  19 pounds, 8 ounces.

Height:  28.5 inches.

Head:  90th percentile.

Likes:  Standing up, opening drawers, table food, swimming.

Dislikes:  Laying on his back, being still, getting stuck in the play pen while mom takes a shower.

BB Six Months

I remain a month behind posting these. Stick with me...

I don't know how it is possible this baby is half a year old.  HALF A YEAR.  He keeps growing and changing and is more fun every day.

Here's what he's been up to.

--  Added orange veggies and fruits to the food mix.

-- Gone on lots of walks with the dogs.

-- Celebrated his First Valentine's Day!

-- Sucked on some toes.

-- Rode some horses.

-- Met his Cousin Swiss Mister.

-- Looked at lots of sheep. 

-- Discovered tractors!

--Helped with laundry.

Likes:  Scooting all over the floor, his walker, yelling, chewing on everything in sight.

Dislikes:  Shots, sleeping without the comfy bassinet, hitting his head on the floor when he rolls over too fast.
