Halloween 2016

With LL due on November 1, we didn't really know what we would be doing or where anyone would be for Halloween.  Given that, I wanted a costume for BB that was easy and something small just in case LL was already here.  The only problems I had were that I am not crafty and cannot sew.  (I blogged before about almost failing home ec, but being rescued by my dear friend Dace who sewed my pillow for me when the teacher was out of the room.)

Enter The Babyaitter.  I am fairly convinced she can make anything, so when I told her my idea she sent me off with a list of supplies to buy and then in like an hour, magically transformed them into costumes for...

On Halloween, our little town closes down Main Street and has a Trunk or Treat for all the kids.  We decided this was probably not an ideal event for an 8 day old, so the girls stayed home and Dad took BB.

 

Report back was that BB never cracked a smile, seemed confused as to why people were dressed funny, and about halfway through when someone handed him candy, he would get in his bucket and give them a piece back. 

 

Although it was low key and we ended up with orange sucker smeared all over our couch, we enjoyed our first holiday as a family of four.
