Stitch Fix Report: Summer 2016

I was planning on waiting until after LL (stands for Littlest Lashmet...name announcement is coming soon) is born before getting another Stitch Fix, but I had a couple credits and an email offering me a free styling fee, so I could not refuse. If you want to give it a try, use my referral link!

Although Stitch Fix offeres maternity boxes, I opted for regular clothes since I will not be pregnant for that much longer (I said that last summer too, mind you...)

Without a doubt, this is my absolute best SF box ever.  I will ruin the suspense and just tell you that I kept all 5 pieces.  I plan on keeping this stylist (Torrey) for as long as I can.

Usually, I do my report and include photos of me in the outfits. But since these clothes are not designed for someone 6 months pregnant, I will spare you.

Rayna Crochet Trim Dress
I absolutely love this dress.  It might be my favorite piece.  The color is perfect. The detailing is fun.  And I think that when my baby bump is gone it will fit just perfectly. I am thinking of pairing with a white cardigan.

Tibiron Embroidered Maxi Dress
I love maxi dresses.  They are cute, comfy, and can go for any occasion. I am seriously thinking about wearing this home from the hospital after LL arrives.  You can't see it, but it has a slot in the front.  And the detail is orange..obviously right up my alley.  My thinking here is if I wear it with a denim jacket and brown sandals, it will be a cute work outfit.

Delevingne Tie Neck Top
I don't love the cut of this top...the skimpy halter straps are not so much my style, but I love the colors and think it will go with anything. I figure I can always throw a sweater or denim jacket over it and the top won't matter anyway. I think white pants or shorts will be the perfect pairing.

Kinski Mixed Material Top
The color of this shirt sold me.  I love that deep blue paired with white jeans or dress pants.

Quirrel Halter Top
This is actually one of the items I had pinned on my Stitch Fix Pinterest Board. After I saw another blogger get it, I knew I wanted it too.  I am thinking it will go great with Navy blue shorts.

Here is the info on these pieces if anyone wants to request any of these items in your next fix.

Stitch Fix Report: January

Thanks to one of my blog readers and friends signing up for Stitch Fix using my referral link, I had a credit and decided I needed a box in January to kick off the new year.

Once again, the box didn't disappoint! My stylist picked items I pinned and followed my requests to a T. Everything was exactly in my price range (I always tell them not to send me anything over $100 and if it's over $75 it better be really good!)

Let's get to the review.

Remesme Graphic Print Faux Wrap Dress.
I have been wanting a cute wrap dress forever, so I requested one. And she nailed it. I absolutely love this dress. It is comfy and pretty flattering I think. Plus I think it will go great with a denim jacket and boots. Verdict: Keeper!

Pip Crew Neck Blouse
This shirt was just ok. I think maybe it was a tick too big so it wasn't super flattering. I also think my mom has a short almost exactly like this. Ha!  I liked it fine but didn't love it. Verdict: Returned.

Lebray Button Down Top
I need a cute plaid button up shirt to wear to stock shows and sheep sales. I am not super crazy about the color--a bit too pink--and I don't love the fit. Plus I feel pretty sure I can find something similar that I like better for cheaper. Verdict: Returned.

Layla Elbow Patch Detail Cardigan
Man, this one disappointed me. I love elbow patches and it looked so cute online! But it was just too big for me and made me look chubby. Verdict: Returned.

Rebekah Stretch Crepe Blazer
I have wanted a cute 3/4 length blazer with rolled sleeves forever. I think it will be great with jeans and heels for work. Sort of dresses up wearing jeans. Verdict: Keeper.

Final Verdict:  2/5 Kept.  All in all I was quite happy with this box! I love having clothes delivered to my door, especially since BB makes shopping a bit of a chore.  If you want to give it a try, use this link and I will get a referral credit.

Stitch Fix Report: Christmas Edition

After being disappointed in my December Fix, I decided to splurge and do another fix this month....it is Christmas after all!  I am SO glad I did it because I loved every single item in the box.  It's my first 5/5 and I cannot tell you enough how excited I am about these pieces.  They ended up averaging about $40 a piece. (Excuse the horribly awkward photos.)

Cyndi Lace Pencil Skirt
I had seen this skirt on Pinterest and added it to my "Stitch Fix Wants" board that is linked to my Stitch Fix profile.  I was beyond excited to see this in my box.  It fits great, it's fun, and professional.  I knew the second I put it on this was staying in my closet!

Marley Lace Detail Blouse
I really love the color of this shirt and, again, think it will be great for work.  During the winter, I can always wear a sweater or a jacket over it and in the summer the pretty sleeves will make it great to wear without something else.

Yuli Lace Cap Sleeve Blouse
I love this shirt.  It fits great, it's dressy, just what I need.  I think it will look great with a pencil skirt or slacks for work!  I also wore it with black skinny jeans for Christmas.

Ginia Layered Cowl Neck Sweater
I had been looking for a sweater or two to wear with leggings---I know, I know, leggings aren't pants.  But, I drive a lot and they are comfy so I don't mind wearing them if I have a long sweater to cover up my booty.  This sweater is going to be great with my black leggings and my grey boot socks.

Colten Lace Raglan Sleeve Knit Top
This was the item I liked least in the box.  There is nothing wrong with it, it's just not super fancy and it's a little bit big. I'll wear it with jeans for sure and it's comfy.

If you haven't tried Stitch Fix, you totally should!  You just fill out a style profile, pay a $20 styling fee, and a box with 5 items shows up at your house.  You keep what you like and send back what you don't in a pre-paid envelope you just drop at the post office.  If you keep something, you pay the price of the item, and the $20 credit goes towards the purchase price.  If you keep all 5 items, you get 25% off.

If you decide to check it out, use this link por favor!  It will give me a little credit for referring you to the fun.

Stitch Fix Report: December

Another month meant another Stitch Fix box. What is Stitch Fix you ask?

It's a box of clothing items chosen by a stylist and delivered to your house.  Each box comes with 5 items and a return envelope.  If you like something, you keep it.  If you don't, you ship it back in the pre-paid envelope that you just drop in the mail.  To get a fix you pay a $20 styling fee, but that goes to the cost of an item if you keep something.  You fill out a style profile, answer questions, and can link a Pinterest page to show them items you like.  Oh and you set a price range....important for me! Easy peasy.  I've done this for over a year and seriously several of my favorite clothing items showed up in the Stitch Fix boxes!

If you want to try Stitch Fix, use this link (and I will get a small credit!)

Here is the rundown of my latest box.

Anthea Lace Detail Skirt

This is the item I came the closest to keeping.  I love pencil skirts and this one has some cute lace detail on the waist. But in the end, I didn't love the way it for over my still not quite back to normal belly. It was not bad, but I wasn't quite comfortable and I didn't want something I was not sure I would wear.  Verdict: Returned.

Douglas Cowl Neck Sweater
I like the cowl neck design, but this was loosely woven and a bit strange textured, so not quite my thing.  Verdict: Returned.

Presley Colorblock Button-Back Sweater

I hated this. Worst item I have ever received in a box. All wrong. Verdict: Returned.

Howard Crew Neck Silk Blouse
This shirt just fit funny. It wasn't very flattering but I did love the color. Verdict: Returned.

Weaver Lace Overlay Top
Hands down my favorite item in the box. I love this shirt!  But....it was too short. It's fine standing there, but if I move my arms up at all my tummy shows. Since I speak for a living and you know this girl uses her hands, that just would not work.  Verdict: Returned.

So, after much analysis, I ended up not keeping anything.  This has only happened one time to me in 17 boxes, so that's not bad!  I am out the $20 styling fee, but I figure had I gone to the mall to look for clothes I would have spent that on fuel and on the pretzel I would have bought from Auntie Anne's.

My next box is in the way...stay tuned!

Stitch Fix Report: November

Another month means another Stitch Fix box. For those of you who don't know, Stitch Fix is a way to have clothes picked for you by a stylist and delivered to your house.

After seeing some other people do Stitch Fix Reports and share their items, I thought I'd join in.  Here were the contents of my Stitch Fix #14.

~1~
This dress was cute, but I wasn't crazy about the color and the waist hit me kinda funny.  It was fine, but not something I loved.  Plus, it is pretty summery and due to the fact that on Friday the high is going to be 34 degrees, that wasn't ideal.  Verdict:  Return.

~2~
This dress was also cute, except for the strange gather on the chest.  It just looked strange on me, like there was some sort of catch on my bra or like I didn't know how to correctly operate an iron.  Verdict:  Return.

~3~
This shirt I had actually seen on someone else's blog and pinned it on my Stitch Fix Wants page.  So they shipped it to me.  Hard to beat that--find the clothing you like, it shows up at your doorstep.  Excellent.  I absolutely love the black leather elbow patches on this.  I'm planning on wearing it with black skinny jeans and boots!  Verdict:  Keeper.

~4~
This sweater was strange.  The thing on the top looked like a dog collar to me.  Then in the back it was open and had two flaps, so I'd have to wear a black tank under it I guess?  It was just too much.  Verdict:  Return.

~5~
This sweater was very similar to one I had pinned on my Pinterest page.  I love it!  It's really warm and I think will look fantastic with skinny jeans or tights.  Verdict:  Keeper.
