December Giveaway - FUDGE!

"All I really need is love, but a little chocolate now and then doesn't hurt!" ~Lucy on Charlie Brown

Well, somehow it is officially December. I don't know where the year has gone. But, I think that it's time for our December giveaway!

You can thank The Shoeologist who is currently doing an awesome boot giveaway (please, please please, pick me!!) for making me ready to do my giveaway right now!

I'm super excited about this month's giveaway because it involves someone you have all come to know and love on the blog, Cousin Kevin. You've read about him once or twice.
Anyway, he and his adorable business partner (don't be jealous, Kev....you're adorable too) have recently launched their own fudge brand and company, Big Little Fudge.
Now, let me just tell you....this stuff is amazing. I didn't say good, I said amazing. And I've eaten a lot of fudge in my day (including once on vacation when I was like 10 and I ate a pound and spend the rest of the night throwing up). Big Little is the best. Hands down.
So, to celebrate Cousin Kevin's new venture, I'll be giving away a free tin of assorted fudge! (You can check out the assortment here).

Entering is simple and you have two options:

1. Leave me a comment on this blog (see below) telling me your favorite Christmas gift of all time!

2. Become a follower of this blog (see instructions here) and I will give you 5 extra entries!

Have your entries in by Sunday, December 5 at 6:00 pm! I will draw and announce a winner on Monday! Good luck!

mmmm....fudge. Even if I don't win, I still would like some fudge...just saying. My favorite Christmas gift of all time, which is a hard one to choose, because I have gotten some wonderful meaningful gifts. I would have to say it is my dog Bella. I love her so much, my mom adopted her from the Human Society so she is extra special. Also, she came to me at a time I needed her most. I know that might sound funny that I needed her, but her cute little face and the unconditional love that a puppy can give, cures all.

If I have TWO best presents, may I be entered in the fudge drawing twice? Hmmm, maybe not. But I really can't decide between two gifts. #1 is for my materialistic nature, and #2 represents my sentimental side.

1. One year my dad gave me a Jack Daniel's bottle that had been emptied of alcohol (I'm sure there are some good stories there too) and filled with loose change. It took some time to count but wound up making me about $350 richer. Cha-ching!
2. Christmas 2007. A friend and I are in China and going to Hong Kong to spend Christmas. He carries my Christmas gift in a long tube. I was convinced it was a sword. It wasn't; it was even better. He had used some computer program to create a poster sized mosaic picture of a picture that the two of us had taken with two other friends when we first arrived in China. The big picture was made up of about 10,000 little pictures that had been taken over the past year. Total awesomeness.

OMG I LOVE fudge and the pic makes me want some! So, even if I don't win I would love to order some for Christmas. Do they have an online site you can order off of?

Well I would have to say my favorite Christmas present was my truck! My cousin told me what I was getting on Christmas eve at our family party. So, of course I could not sleep and got up at like 3am and went outside to see it lol. My parents were SOOOOOOOOOO mad! My cousin ruiend my parents christmas that year :( But it was my favorite present!

I've realized now that living 1,200 miles from home that my favorite present is being able to go home and see family and friends. I really took that for granted when I lived in New Mexico!

P.S. I will not be as patient with this giveaway as I was with the candle! :)

My favoritie christmas memory growing up was, what every child wishes for. I ran outside and there was my little paint pony. Yes, my dad raised horses and still does but the it meant alot to me since i was around 5 or so. It meant that i didn't have to share with my older brothers.

Now as the time flies by and you get older and a little wiser. My favorite memory is spending time with my two "babies" even though they are 26 and 17 1/2. I love to see their faces when the open their gifts even though they know what they are getting except for the santa gift. You will fell the same way when you become a parent.

love you,
Oklahoma mom

Well I am already a follower! And my favorite Christmas present was my barn set. I spent hours setting up corral systems with that thing. Yes, that's what nerdy little farm girls do. I played with that thing for years.

I am going to have to go to their website and check this out. I owe someone a great Christmas present and this might be a good fit!

As last month's winner - I am not commenting to enter - but you got me thinking about the best Christmas presents. When I was little all I wanted were Barbie dolls and stuff like that. As my brother and I got older, we seemed to want more expensive presents and we got a couple of Christmas presents to share. One year it was a CD player, that some how ended up in my room and became more mine than his. But the best shared present was the year we got a CD burner. We had so much with that silly thing! Eventually we wore it out and crashed the computer.

One year my grandma made me a hand-written recipe book that included all the delicious food we enjoyed growing up, plus a bunch of great household tips that only grandmas know. It traveled with me through every move across the continent, and has always brought comfort when I was missing my family the most. It must have taken her weeks to complete, and it's one of my most treasured possessions.

When James got out of the Army, I flew up to meet him and take a road trip for a couple of weeks. It was just before Christmas and when I got to Seattle, James and I were on our way to dinner one night when he asked me for either a one or five dollar bill. I though that wa a bit strange, but I dug into my very sparse-sophomore-in-college wallet and gave him what I had. After he put it in his wallet, he kept driving. Eventually, he pulled into a Guitar Center. (I had spent the last year teaching myself guitar on my mom's Gibson thy she got in the 1960s.). He told me how proud he was of ny work on the guitar and that he knew how much it meant to me to be able to play. Then he said, "For Christmas this year, I want to help you get your own guitar. I wanted you to give me the mo ey earlier so it would be something you helped buy. You have ____ amount of money and you can pick out any guitar that's under that amount." Naturally, i cried quite a bit and then went to pick the guitar that I would have had to wait ears to buy on my own. I still have that guitar and hopefully someday my kid will want to take It to college with them. Everytime I play it, I'm reminded of how much my big brother loves me. The end! Did I mention how much I love fudge???

Since my family was split between two religions, I didn't really ever celebrate Christmas. Regardless, my dad would always get me presents. He didn't have much money ever, but he always spent way too much on my presents anyway.

One year, I think I was 11 or 12 years old, he bought me the entire Beatles Anthology CD set (9 CDs total). That had to have cost at least a hundred dollars! I've lost most of the CD's by now, but still know every song on those CD's by heart.

We were always connected by the Beatles. Now that he has passed away, I am very thankful to have shared those memories and to be able to feel connected to him every time a Beatles song comes on.

One of my most memorable Christmas memories is when I was 7 years old. It was the first year wonderful cousin Kevin had been away at college and he was home for Christmas - which I always loved it when he'd come home. Happy as I could be and sleeping in the room with my loving, wonderful brother that I'd missed so much I suddenly was hit in the head with a flying boot and heard Kevin yelling across the room "get up already, Santa came". I've always thought there had to be a better way to wake up the precious little sister :)

Does that count?? LOL - but don't enter me in the giveaway - share with the others that haven't been able to try Kevin and Robin's new deliciousness. <3

Stace: Typical Cousin Kevin. I am not surprised at all. Although when you started talking about him coming back from college---I remember the first time he brought Beth to the house and they gave me this little NMSU sweat shirt with Mickey Mouse on it...seriously my favorite shirt EVER!

Sean: I can't deal with you. I wrote a blog a while back ranting about your taste in women. Did you read it?? Clearly you didn't listen....
