Family Farm Friday #54: Take Me Home, Country Road

"It's slow and it's small and it's life at a crawl but it's everything I miss!" ~Things We Forget, Rodney Atkins

As you guys know from my Wednesday post, I'm headed here this weekend (yes this is from last year when there was green grass....let's be optimistic):
I'll be spending some time with these folks: And seeing this kid graduate from high school:
And checking on The Bettys:
And these lovely ladies. The picture below is also from back in the day when we had irrigation water.... And don't forget about Roberto.
So, to prepare for the trip, I thought I'd share a few of my favorite "headed home" songs with y'all this Friday! I'll do my best to get some good pictures and ideas for the next few Family Farm Fridays!

Sidenote: No, my Daddy is not a coal miner, but who doesn't love a little Loretta Lynn, huh?

And one song, probably my favorite of them all, wasn't available on Grooveshark...nor can I find JAB actually playing it online.....dang it! So here is some kid doing a cover of my song: End of a Dirt Road by Josh Abbott Band.

Hope Everyone has a wonderful long weekend!
