Meet the Cast Monday #26: Mrs. Blue Eyes

I'm excited to introduce y'all to one of my high school friends today, Mrs. Blue Eyes! As you may have guessed, she's married to Blue Eyes. (I'm creative, I know!) They live back home in a beautiful house on the lake and she teaches 5th grade. I can't beleive that it's been 9 years since we were in school together...we had such a great time!

With that, meet Mrs. Blue Eyes!

What is your favorite memory with me?

Burning paper in ITV room heater and riding first roller coaster on senior trip. {So the first part is pretty hilarious.....one day in our college class that we took by tv, we didn't have class for some reason so we ended up in the corner burning designs into paper with a space heater. Turns out, it smelled and the next thing we know the counselor, superintendent and janitors are running around looking for an electrical fire. Oops..... And the roller coaster you see below was seriously one of the scariest things ever!}

What is your favorite part of living in a small town?
Well since all my family lived in the same town it would have to be being so close to all of my family. And being able to hunt and fish whenever you want and having such small classes and knowing everybody.

How did you decide you wanted to be a teacher and what is the best/worst part of your job?
I love kids and disliked some of the teachers I had growing up and how they taught so I wanted to become a teacher and make it a fun, positive and memorable experience for them The best is being a part of all the kids lives and watching the excitement on their faces when they learn something new or do well in something. The worst is paperwork and knowing what some of the kids have gone through at home.

How did you and Blue Eyes get together?
I had a crush on him since 3rd grade but just never would admit it. :) We didn't get along in college but started talking during student teaching and both ended up back home for student teaching and then i begged my dad to give him a job at the restaurant where I worked and he did. {And as they say, the rest is history!}

What are your favorite quotes?
I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me. Philippians 4:13

The road to success is not straight. There is a curve called Failure, a loop called Confusion, speed bumps called Friends, red lights called Enemies, caution lights called Family. You will have flats called Jobs. But, if you have a spare called Determination, an engine called Perseverance, insurance called Faith, a driver called Jesus, you will make it to a place called Success.

If you could rewind and re-live one day of your life, what would it be?

None, because I try and live all the days like it might be my last. {Great way to do it!}

What do you do with a whole summer off of work?

Work in the yard, garden and with all our flowers. that's what I love to do. And also go swimming :) {Could I be more jealous of this 3 month off gig??}

What is one (or more) item(s) on your bucket list?

Seeing all of the states in the U.S. and going to Italy!
